Window cleaning in Big Sky
Tall glass, mountain homes and second properties cleaned before you arrive.
Mountain homes
Big Sky homes are mostly glass
The whole point of a house up there is the view, so the houses are mostly window. Great rooms with two-story walls of glass, clerestories above the ridge line, and panes that were craned in and can’t be reached from a step ladder.
That’s a different job from a five-window ranch in the valley. It takes longer, it takes the right reach, and it takes someone who isn’t going to leave streaks across forty feet of picture window.
What altitude does to glass
Why Big Sky windows get dirty faster
Big Sky windows weather differently than Bozeman ones, and it’s worth knowing why before you book a wash.
- Sun at elevation. Thinner air means stronger UV. It bakes mineral deposits and pollen onto the pane faster than down in the valley.
- Snow load and melt. Snow sitting against the lower glass all winter, then melting off a metal roof onto the windows below, leaves a distinct runoff line.
- Wind-driven dust. Exposed ridge lots collect grit that packs into channels and around locks.
- Pine pitch and pollen. Timber right up to the house means resin spotting that doesn’t come off with a household cleaner.
Second homes
Cleaned before you arrive
A lot of Big Sky places sit empty between visits. The most useful thing we do is get in ahead of an arrival, whether that’s ski week, a summer stretch or guests coming, so the view is right the day the door opens, not three days into the trip.
Property managers and caretakers: an annual or biannual contract means it’s handled on a schedule and you’re not chasing it every season.

Questions we get about Big Sky
Do you travel to Big Sky for window cleaning?
Yes. Clear Choice is based at 100 Strozzi Ln in Gallatin Gateway, which is on the way up the canyon, so Big Sky is a normal part of the route rather than a special trip.
Can you reach two-story great room windows?
Yes. Tall glass is most of what Big Sky work is. Tell us roughly how many stories and whether there's anything tricky to get to when you call, and the bid will account for it.
Can you clean before we arrive at the house?
That's the most common request up there, and the best way to use us. Give us the arrival date and we'll get in ahead of it so the view is right the day you walk in.
Do you work with property managers and caretakers?
Yes. Annual and biannual contracts work well for managed properties. It goes on the calendar and you stop having to remember to book it.
